Bolt-Less USA Made Training Olympic Weightlifting Bars
Price (starting at): $129.00
Affordable quality "bolt-less" weightlifting bars made in the USA with over 30 years of Olympic bar manufacturing experience. Designed around the requirements of Olympic lifting.
ELITE BARS
The Elite weightlifting needle bearing bar is manufactured in the USA and in our opinion will equal or surpass any other bar in existence. It is more expensive than the training weightlifting bar and is not for everyone, but if you demand the feel and performance of a truly top of the line bar, this bar will exceed your expectations.
Although the Elite weightlifting bar is not certified for use by the International Weightlifting Federation(IWF) it does conform to IWF specifications and is available in both a mens 20 kg and womens 15 kg model.
The Elite weightlifting bar is designed to be used for decades, not years. The end cap is held in place with a snap ring. On most competitors bars, even their top quality bars, the end cap is pressed in or at the very least requires special tools to remove. Often if it is taken out once, it will never fit tight again and will continually pop out. The Elite weightlifting bar is designed with a snap ring secured end cap so that in 10 or 20 or 30 years, if it does need to be disassembled and cleaned and oiled, the entire bar can be completely disassembled with one tool, a pair of snap ring pliers, and reassembled as "good as new", with no worries about pieces that wont fit tight after being taken out once before.
For this same reason the bearings under the collar are secured with a snap ring instead of being pressing in. If the Elite bar ever needs all five bearings taken out for any reason, it can be done with one simple tool that can be purchased from a hardware store. There is quite a bit of extra machining cost involved in fastening the sleeve to the bar this fashion and the majority of lifters will probably never need these features, but if they are needed, they are there, and we believe anyone spending nearly $600 on a bar will appreciate that.
There are other minor details about this bar that represent the manufacturer's desire to do things the best way possible. For instance the spacing washers between the interior and exterior snap rings and between the bearings and the snap rings inside the collars are hand machined and hand polished. Even some of the most expensive Swedish made weightlifting bars use stamped spacing washers. This small attention to detail may not give the Elite bar any better performance than if cheaper stamped spacers were used instead, but what is known is that imperfections in moving parts usually get worse over time, not better, and the manufcaturer wanted to eliminate as many possible sources of bar failure or performance deterioration as possible.

TRAINING BARS
The Training Mens, Womens, and Junior bars are the first bars offered by our manufacturer, and probably still represent the best value for the dollar of any of their bars. They are lifetime guaranteed and conform to IWF specs including 28mm diameter for the mens bar and 25mm diameter for the womens and junior bar.
Black Zinc coating on the shaft and Chrome collars and sleeves prevent rust. The knurling is the best you will ever feel on a weightlifting bar according to the manufacturer. These bars combine excellent strength and durability, a "feel" that will satisfy even the most experienced and discriminating lifters, with a very affordable price tag.
Although the Training weightlifting bar is not certified for use by the International Weightlifting Federation(IWF) it does conform to IWF specifications and is available in a Mens 20 kg and a Womens 15 kg model.

HD BARS
For those who are budget minded, and don't need a bar that feel just like a competition Olympic lifting bar, but still want to lift heavy and need a bar that will stand up to it. This bar is exactly like the Mens Economy bar, but with a much stronger steel in the shaft. You can clean and jerk 400lbs on one workout after workout (as Donny Shankle has done for over a year) or squat 800+ pounds on one as often as you like without worrying, all at an affordable price.
Specifications
- 1 1/8" diameter men's bar, 1" diameter women's and junior bar
- Bright Zinc finish
ECON TRAINING BARS
If your NOT a competitive Olympic lifter, but use the lifts in your workouts, you still need a bar designed around the requirements of Olympic lifting. A bar with good spin, appropriate knurling, a bar that will "whip", a bar with a diameter that allows a secure grip and a hook grip if you are inclined to use one, and a bar that is designed to be dropped without coming apart!
1. Our bar has a 28.5mm shaft (Econ Women's is 25mm). Higher prices bars (like the Training and Elite) have a 28mm shaft, while other "bargain" bars use a 30 or 32mm shaft. We added the extra .5mm as a cost cutting step, these bars are NOT machined down to an exact 28mm like our higher priced bars. But we DID NOT add extra diameter to the shaft to make up for lower quality steel. A shaft diameter of 30mm or more destroys the "whip" of the bar, something that is more and more important as you get better at the Olympic lifts. A larger diameter shaft also hinders the grip, something that is very important to the Olympic lifts, especially the snatch. It is infinitely more difficult to maintain good for, especially straight arms, during the pull when using a thick bar. Crossfitters dont need competition perfect form on cleans and snatches, but the better your form is, the more benefit you get from the lifts!
2. The knurl on this bar is appropriate for snatches and clean and jerks as well as deadlifts, squats, and bench presses.
3. Our Economy bar uses snap-ring construction on the sleeves, just like the Training and Elite bar. Threaded end-bolts are cheaper, but they won't hold up to being dropped forever. The threads strip eventually, and the sleeves come off. I have seen it happen in a couple of workouts, i've seen it take a couple of years. But I know I won't let the kids I coach drop bars with the sleeves secured by an end-bolt.
4. Our shaft is black zinc coated, with chrome sleeves and collars. The zinc coating prevents rust and preserves the knurling, even if you aren't quite as dependable as you should be with brushing down the bar and removing the moisture-retaining chalk after workouts. A zinc coating also eliminates the need for a center knurling. I know I dont relish the proposition of a scraped up neck from a high rep set of cleans with a bar that has aggressive center knurling. Chrome bars are so slippery, you NEED center knurling if you are going to use the bar for squats... zinc is not slippery, so it stays on the back during squats just fine even without center knurling.
This is a quality bar that is suitable for general training as well as the snatch and clean and jerk. Designed by Olympic lifters so you know it is suitable for the lifts, with all the little characteristics that make it a joy to snatch or clean with and the strength and durability to last, but without the expensive details that would be important to a competitive Olympic lifter but not someone just incorporating the lifts into their training regimine. Designed specifically for a Crossfit style workout.
10kg Junior bar. The perfect bar for younger lifters to start with, same specs between the collars as a competition bar but less weight and a lower price.
Specifications
- 1 1/8" diameter men's bar, 1" diameter women's and junior bar
- Bright Zinc finish
ALUMINUM TECHNIQUE BAR
Just like our 10kg Junior bar, the Aluminum bar is exactly like a competition women's bar between the collars, right down to the knurling marks and the 25mm bar diameter.
The difference is, this one weighs only 5kg. Light enough for anyone to drill with or learn technique with.
We have clean and jerked 45kg on the bar with no problem, but we recomend you buy the 10kg junior bar instead of this one if you are going to be regularly using more than 35kg.
Specifications
- 1" diameter
- aluminum w/ unplated sleeves
One more quick note about bars. You can buy a bar for $99 and do a snatch on it, but doing any "Olympic-style" movements on a bar not designed for it would be like running a marathon in dress shoes. It can be done, and if you had never tried on a pair of running shoes, you would never know the difference. But the first time you put on a pair of good running shoes, you would wonder how you ever lived without them! A bar should be a lifetime investment. Buy the right bar and not just the cheapest!
